FAITH LEADERSHIP
Christian Academy
CORE VALUES
OUR HEART
Family Focused.
Faith Leadership Christian Academy desires to operate as an extension of the family. We believe that God has given parents the ultimate authority and responsibility in the training and education of their children. Accordingly, we see our school as functioning not above parental authority, but rather with delegated authority from the parent. Therefore we welcome and encourage parental involvement and provide many opportunities for parents to support and participate in their children's education.
Distinctively Christian.
Faith Leadership Christian Academy provides an education that fully integrates the Word of God into every aspect of its curriculum. Teaching first and foremost that all life, knowledge and meaning extend from God, our Creator. In order to establish a God-centered world view all subjects are taught in the light of God's existence, His Son Jesus Christ and His Word. It is also our desire to ready our students to be strong in their faith and equipped to defend their faith in our secular culture through the teaching of apologetics.
Classical Excellence.
Faith Leadership Christian Academy provides an academic environment that exemplifies excellence and academic rigor based upon the classical model. This model teaches students how to learn by studying: the facts of each subject (Grammar: 1st-4th) the ordered relationship of those facts (Logic: 5th-8th) and how to articulate both of these in a logical and persuasive way through the written word and spoken language (Rhetoric: 9th-12th).
Uniquely Hands-On.
Faith Leadership Christian Academy desires to provide a learning environment that is practical and enjoyable. By structuring our Bible, history and science classes into a multi-age group learning experience we provide a unique environment for learning through doing and teaching. These classes will model a homeschool environment where students of different ages will learn together by the use of hands on projects, experiments and field trips.
Trained for Leadership.
Faith Leadership Christian Academy provides an education that will develop the skills necessary for effective leadership. We believe that each student was created by God with specific talents, abilities and characteristics for the purpose of advancing His kingdom and His glory. It is our desire to partner with parents as we help each student to discern God's unique calling and purpose for their life and equip them with the skills to be successful in accomplishing His plan. Students will be given multiple opportunities for public speaking, project organization, leadership training seminars and hands on service projects that will develop their unique leadership style.
DOCTRINE
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired, inerrant, infallible and authoritative. As such it constitutes the only perfect rule and final authority in matters of the Christian Faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:19-21)
The Godhead
We believe in the One and only True God, infinite, perfect and eternal; unchangeable in all His attributes (Matthew 5:48, Psalm 90:2)
we believe in the HOLY TRINITY, God existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all who are equal and who are in complete harmony as they perform their distinct offices.
Jesus Christ
We believe that in the fullness of Time, God the Son assumed man’s nature by being born of the virgin Mary thus combining His divine and human natures. (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25) As the God-man and having a body free from sin, He could offer Himself as an acceptable sacrifice to God on our behalf (Hebrews 10:9-10). We believe Christ was resurrected and has ascended to heaven where He is seated on the right hand of the Father and where He makes intercession for us (Acts 1:9-11, 2:32-36)
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. His principal ministries are to convict or convince the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; to restrain the progress of evil; to regenerate those who repent and place their trust in Christ (John 3:3-8); to baptize believers into the Body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:13); and to comfort, instruct, guide, sanctify and empower believers for service (John 14:16-18, 26, 16:13)
The Devil or Satan
We believe in the distinct personality of Satan. He is the author of the powers of darkness and is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the Lake of Fire.(II Corinthians 4:4, Revelation 20:10)
Mankind
We believe man was created by a direct act of God and not by the process of evolution; that he was created in the image of God that he might worship, glorify and serve his Creator. (Colossians 3:10, Genesis 1:27)
Man's Fall
We believe man was subject to trial in the Garden of Eden. Under trial he lost his holy estate, was alienated from God, and became depraved physically, morally, and spiritually. As a consequence of disobedience, the entire race became involved in sin to such a degree that one’s very nature is disposition toward evil and is thereby accountable. (Genesis 2:15-17; 3:1-6, Romans 5:12)
Man's Redemption
We believe that God has provided redemption for all mankind through the mediating work of Christ who voluntarily offered Himself on Calvary’s cross. The blessings of this salvation is made possible on the grounds of God’s grace to all who confess their sin and believe on Jesus Christ.(Matt. 20:28, Acts 16:30-33)
Salvation
We believe it is wholly through God’s grace, but conditioned on repentance toward God and a personal acceptance of Christ by faith. No works, however good, make that salvation more secure (Titus 3:5) This salvation brings eternal life, since the believer is born of incorruptible seed (I Peter 1:23). This new life is forever (John 5:24).
Regeneration
We believe it means a person has been made an new creation in Christ Jesus (II Corinthians 5:17), through the work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God (John 3:3-6). The Holy Spirit Himself makes us aware of the change (Romans 8:16).
Justification
We believe justification is a judicial act on God’s part whereby He restores the sinner who has placed his trust in the Savior, to divine favor. (Romans 5:1-9)
The Church
We believe the universal church (Body of Christ) is a New Testament institution, instituted by Christ who is its sole head, and that it is empowered and perpetuated by the Holy Spirit. The Church will be consumed at the rapturous return of Christ. (Matthew 16:41-47)
